Planning Applications
What is PublicAccess?
PublicAccess for planning is an Internet service that allows you
to view details of planning applications (Development Control) currently being
considered by Bexley Council, as well as a history of past planning applications
submitted since July 1987. You can monitor the progress of an application and
make comments while it is being considered.
It can also be used to look at details of enforcement enquiries received as
well as any appeals made against decisions made on planning applications and
enforcement cases.
You can also use PublicAccess to view Weekly Lists of applications
received or decisions made. Having selected a particular list you can
then view the details of any application or decision on that list. If you select
a list for this week you will see those applications registered or determined
up to the day of your search.
Please read carefully the Terms & Conditions page as this contains important
information regarding the availability of electronic copies of plans, application
forms, associated documents and copies of decision notices (including conditions/reasons
for refusal).
Applications may also be retrieved by reference number or address or postcode
or street or by clicking on a location on a map. Alternatively lists of applications
may be obtained by address, week of receipt or by other selection methods.

Other Planning Applications Lists

These are slightly different to the lists referred to above. Electronic PDF versions
of these paper lists are also available through the links below (see
notes for
an explanation of how to use the lists). The lists are updated weekly and two
back weeks are available.

Planning Control Committee - How it works
and having your say
Some planning applications have to be decided by the Planning Control Committee.
This meets every three or four weeks at the Civic Offices, Broadway, Bexleyheath,
starting at 7.30 pm, usually on Thursdays.
Applicants and objectors can speak at meetings of this Committee, providing
they tell the Council in advance that they want to do this.
If you want to speak, first check the date the application will be considered.
Applicants, agents and anyone sending in a letter of objection or support will
normally be notified of the date during the week before the Committee meeting.
You can look at the Committee agenda papers on
this web site, up to five days before the date of
the meeting, or in your local library or main Council offices. You can telephone
the Planning officer handling the case, if you know who this is. Or you can telephone
the Committee hotline.
When you know the date of the Committee, telephone the Committee hotline, from
9.00am on the Monday morning in the week of the meeting. The person taking your
call will give you more details.
A more detailed leaflet is available on having your say and forms part of
an information pack designed to give advice on how the Planning Control Committee
works. The pack is available at Council offices and you can ask for a copy or
for more information by ringing the hotline number below.
The following links take you to the leaflets making up the pack:-
