Air Quality Management Area

Following the Second Round detailed assessment of local air quality, Bexley Council were satisfied that there was sufficient evidence to show that there were areas in Bexley that would not achieve the national air quality objectives in relation to annual mean nitrogen dioxide, annual mean fine particles (as PM10) and daily mean fine particles (as PM10).

Bexley Council has declared the whole borough as an "Air Quality Management Area" for both nitrogen dioxide and fine particles (as PM10).

Bexley Council will now prepare an air quality action plan which will detail the measures that will be implemented with the aim of achieving the national objectives at all relevant locations.
