Bexley Clerkship Practice
Mission Statement
The Bexley Clerkship Practice aims to provide a client orientated
clerkship service to the highest professional standard in order to promote efficient
and effective discharge of school governance.
Benefits of the Service
Ignorance is never a good defence against the law, nor is it
desirable in working situations where accountability is high. Undoubtedly, you
are aware of the plethora of DCSF legislation Education Acts, but can you be
confident that you know specific details and their implications? Are you sure
that your governors' meetings are as effective as they should be? Will you be
fully aware of your obligations in the face of parental representation?
As a body drawing
on expertise and experience we provide the precise and comprehensive knowledge
which is vital to the efficiency of your meetings and subsequent decisions and
actions arising from them.
Inspection by OfSTED
and investigation by the District Auditor demand a high level of evidence of proceedings
from both the Governing Body and Committee meetings. We ensure that your records
can stand such scrutiny.
As a self-financing,
non-profit organisation, our objective is to provide you with the best information
and support available to schools.
The breadth of coverage and amount of specialist knowledge we offer is second
to none. As professional Clerks and with first class administrative background,
our accurate information will enable you to take the best-informed decisions.
Objectivity
So often difficult to achieve due to the nature of issues about
staffing, exclusions and complaints.
Continuity and Consistency
Our level of specialist advice remains constant across the breadth
of issues relevant to your work and over often lengthy periods.
With the present
economic climate, it is more important than ever to ensure that budgets are managed
in the most appropriate manner. You will find our services a small price to pay
compared to the amount you could lose both in terms of money and reputation in
the longer term.
