Secondary Schools in Bexley

Schools for 11 - 18 year olds

There are 17 Secondary Schools in Bexley LA, including four selective schools, one bilateral school with a selective stream, five schools which admit on a religious basis and a community business academy. Admission to the selective schools and the selective stream is based on ability and aptitude. Bexley holds selection tests during the autumn term which decide the children who should be offered places at selective schools. Admission to other schools is without reference to ability. Applications for admission to the denominational schools are handled by the governing bodies of those schools.

Guidelines are produced annually, by the LA, which give the admissions policy and details of each schools.

Selection Tests (11+)

In order to take selection tests, for September admission to a Bexley selective school, you should first complete a registration form. These are available from the Admissions Team and must be returned by the end of August (contact the Admissions Team directly for an exact date). You can also request a form by telephone 020 8836 8429 or 8446, or collect one from the Education Directorate Reception at Hill View.
