Who do we help?

The Drug and Alcohol Team provides a service to people who are experiencing difficulties with their drug and/or alcohol use.

Services available within our Team include:

Care Management

The Care Management Team provides a service to people who are experiencing substantial difficulties with their drug and/or alcohol use and are requesting help in remaining abstinent following a recent detoxification.

In some cases day programmes or residential treatment programmes may be suitable and this can be arranged by the Team. You can self refer into this service or be referred by another professional, ie GP.

Day Programme

The Day Programme helps those residents of Bexley who are dependent on Class A drugs, ie heroin, crack or cocaine. You must be able to commit to attending for two full days per week, plus an individual session on a third day, for a 12 week period and/or are required to undertake treatment as part of a court order. You can self refer or be referred by another professional, ie GP.

Drug Intervention Programme (DIP)

DIP is a specialist service for people who are currently involved with the criminal justice system and have Class A drugs issues. DIP workers regularly visit the Police cells at Bexleyheath and also the cells at Bexleyheath Magistrates court where they can give advice and information on the type of support DIP is able to give. Alternatively your Probation Worker may refer you to us for help.
