Crayford
Crayford is a major district centre in the east of the Borough. Crayford
boasts a large modern retail warehouse park as well as a range of traditional
shops and a large supermarket. In 2005, after widespread consultation with a
range of partners and stakeholders, including the Crayford
Community and Business Forum, the Council adopted a Strategy
and Action Plan for Crayford Town Centre. This will provide the development
proposals and projects that will promote the environmental, cultural and economic
improvements to regenerate Crayford to become the sustainable town centre that
its history deserves.

The Crayford Strategy and Action Plan (CS&AP) was adopted in July 2005, following extensive development and public consultation. It seeks to promote and co-ordinate regeneration in and around Crayford town centre. Although it does not attempt to address detailed matters, such as design requirements and aspirations for specific localities, it contains a principle objective to create a strong identity and sense of place for Crayford Town Centre.
