Crayford Strategy and Action Plan

Crayford Strategy and Action PlanCrayford is a town with a strong civic pride and local history where people care deeply about the future, about its changing character, the mix of town centre uses, and traffic problems. The community care about their town and want to ensure that they have a good range of shops, services, community facilities and a high quality environment as the town in developed in the coming years.

Crayford has a strong economic base, good accessibility by road and rail and experiences a strong demand for development of commercial and residential uses. The future lies in the ability of the local people, businesses, developers and the Council to work together in a partnership towards a Vision, which realises the economic and environmental potential of the town in a way that secures beneficial improvements.

To achieve this we will draw on the combined resources of the private, public and community sectors to create a Crayford that is prosperous, pleasing to be in and to move around, a pleasant place to work and to shop, to enjoy leisure time and where the needs of its users are best met.

The Crayford Strategy and Action Plan has been produced following extensive consultation, to provide the development proposals and projects that will promote the environmental, cultural and economic improvements to regenerate Crayford to become the sustainable town centre that its history deserves.
