Town Safe Bexley Borough Business Crime Partnership

Town Safe has successfully operated in Bexleyheath since its launch in 2004. The partnership is made up of:

Safer Shopping Award

The aim of the Partnership is to reduce crime and the fear of crime and make Bexley a safer place to work, shop and socialise in. This will be achieved by the controlled use of information, intelligence and photographs. Among our successes is the presentation of the National Safer Shopping Award in recognition of our achievements in Crime Management.

In the future Town Safe is set to expand into Sidcup and Erith and eventually throughout the Borough.

Town Safe has plans to adapt the Pubwatch scheme to bring in a programme of information sharing, targeting those individuals who spoil an evening out for everybody. Our aim is to have a zero tolerance policy on any person behaving in a manner that is likely to cause offence to the staff or customers of any licensed premises.
