In this list are to be found some of  the famous – and, in other cases, infamous – people with links to Bexley, starting with Cenulf, King of Mercia, who in AD 814 gave “a place called Bexley” to the Archbishop of Canterbury “for his temporal use”, an arrangement which lasted up to the Reformation.
