Peacock, Keith and Gavin
Keith and Gavin Peacock, father and son footballers, lived in Crayford. Keith
played 591 games for Charlton Athletic and returned to the club in 1998 as
assistant manager. He made history as the first substitute ever used in a
Football League match. Gavin attended Hillsgrove Primary School and Bexley
Grammar School and went on to play for the England Under-19 team. He has played
for Queens Park Rangers, Gillingham, Bournemouth, Newcastle United and Chelsea.
