Description: The Beam Engine House is still closed whilst we deal with a serious asbestos problem and we apologise that it is not possible to see the restored rotative beam engine 'Prince Consort' THe specialists employed have confirmed that there are no problems in other areas of the site.
There are lots to do and see for all the family including a children’s craft workshop. View our magnificent building and grounds. Plus see the progress made on our restored Valve House with working small engines and the Royal Arsenal Narrow Gauge Railway. We are also giving lectures in our education suite on the history of the site and the restoration work completed to date.
Our experienced tour guides will be on hand to give assistance.
We have a coach picking up from Abbey Wood Railway Station for those visitors requiring transport.
