Modern Day Slavery
The Modern Day Slavery Act was introduced in 2015. The Act sets out the statutory requirements organisations have in relation to the identification and support of victims of Modern Day Slavery.
The Council along with the Local Adults Safeguarding Board, Community Safety Partnership and Safeguarding for Children (the new arrangements for the Children’s Safeguarding Board) have developed the Bexley Modern Day Slavery Strategy and Toolkit (PDF, 561KB) for use by all professionals to enable them to understand this issue and to provide the right help and support to people who may be a victim of Modern Day Slavery.
