The London Borough of Bexley parks and open spaces can be hired for a wide range of events, these include:
- community festivals
- craft fairs
- fitness training classes
All events are required to submit an event application and go through a statutory 28 day consultation period which incorporates informing all the relevant parties of the upcoming event as well as the Council being in receipt of the following necessary paperwork:
- risk assessment
- separate fire risk assessment
- stewards briefing pack which must include your emergency procedures
- public liability insurance to cover the event for £5 million
- relevant music/park premises licences
- signed terms and conditions of park hire
- payment for park hire
If you have already submitted an event application online, you have the option to upload your supporting documents online.
Dependent on the event you may be asked to attend a meeting with the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), you will also need to attend a meeting with the relevant Grounds Officer both before and after the event has taken place.
