Bingo on the Broadway

There will be a day of Bingo taking place at Broadway, Bexleyheath on Sunday 19 August, to mark the one week countdown to the first ever draw of the new Bexley Community Lottery.  The team will be in the area by the clocktower from 10am.

Free lottery tickets for the first weekly draw, which is due to take place on Saturday 25 August, will be up for grabs, as well as advice on how you can sign up to play – you’ve got to be in it to win it!

The London Borough of Bexley has established the Local Authority Lottery in partnership with Bexley Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) as a means of generating funds to support Bexley's local charities, community groups and clubs.

Tickets for the online lottery cost £1 with 60p going directly to registered good causes. Of the balance, 20p goes to prizes and 20p for lottery administration and VAT. For comparison, 28% of National Lottery ticket costs support good causes.

The amount of money that the Bexley Community Lottery could fundraise for local community groups is directly related to the number of tickets sold. So far, over 600 tickets have been sold to more than 300 Bexley residents – which if maintained at this level for a full year of weekly draws, would raise £21,600 for our local good causes..

Residents aged 16 and over are invited to register to play Bexley’s local lottery. By doing so, they will be directly supporting local good causes and  have a 50 to one chance of winning one of the prizes, which range from the £25,000 jackpot to three extra tickets.
