Proposed addition to the Local List: Post box (adjacent to 39 Crayford Way), Crayford, DA1 4JY
The Post box which is located to adjacent to 39 Crayford Way, Crayford, DA1 4JY has been nominated as an addition to the Local List, which currently comprises approximately 400 entries.
The Victorian wall-mounted post box (Type B) was typically constructed between 1871 and 1881. The post box is painted red and located within a purpose built brick column which stands to a height of circa 5 feet. The post box appears to be in good condition.
The Council is seeking your opinion on whether the Post box should be added to the Local List. The Council is also seeking any information you may hold about the structure and its history. Historical records including photographs are particularly welcome.
