Free pamper day for Bexley carers
Bexley’s carers are invited to take a well-deserved break and relax at a free exclusive event at Hall Place & Gardens next month.
The event will take place in the historic house’s Great Hall from 10am to 3.30pm on Tuesday 11 June.
On the day, guests will be able to enjoy free pampering sessions from 2pm to 3.30pm in the Tudor kitchen, as well as lunch and refreshments.
Staff from the Council and local organisations including the Alzheimer’s Society, Bexley Mencap, Carers’ Support Bexley, Carers Counselling, Crossroads Care, Bexley Voice, Bridging the Gap, and more will also be on hand to give carers advice, support and information.
Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Cllr Brad Smith said: “This day is all about showing our appreciation and thanking our borough’s amazing carers, who work so hard to give our most vulnerable residents a better quality of life. The day is also a great opportunity for Council staff and staff from other local organisations, to catch up with carers in Bexley and make sure they are still getting the support they need and answer any questions they may have. I hope to see lots of carers at the event enjoying a well-earned pamper break.”
The event is taking place as part of Carers Week (10 to 16 June). Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign which celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers.
