Have your say on school traffic issues

Local people are being asked for their views on a range of issues around schools in Bexley.

The survey asks the public to let the Council know what they think would help improve safety and the general environment around schools before any new measures are considered.

Cabinet Member for Places, Cllr Peter Craske said: “We know what a hot topic road safety and parking around our schools can be for parents, carers, residents and road users. We have put yellow school zig-zag ‘Keep clear’ markings outside most of the schools in the borough to stop thoughtless parking and dropping off, but there are other ways of improving things.

"We want your views on making it easier and safer to walk to and from school and what other travel options would help ease the situation. We need to hear from anyone that school traffic affects to hear their ideas on how it could be managed better.”

The online survey runs from 4 October to 4 January.
