Help connect Bexley’s communities
Bexley’s Cabinet last night (28 January) gave the green light to consultation on the borough’s draft Connected Communities strategy.
The strategy outlines how strong communities are made by the people who live in them. It explains that the Council wants to get better at listening to and working with local people, local businesses and local community groups to find shared solutions to local challenges.
The consultation asks individuals and groups to help make the strategy something that will achieve the aim of bringing Bexley’s citizens and businesses together to take a more active role in community life for the benefit of everyone.
You can help shape the strategy and its action plan in four ways -
- Read the strategy and complete the survey online or pick it up from your local library.
- Bring together your family and friends, neighbours, sports teams or community groups and conduct a discussion group at your own convenience by downloading the consultation toolkit.
- Come along to one of our informal pop-up events for a chat about the strategy and what it means to you.
- If you are part of a faith or voluntary community group, sports club, residents association, town team or a local business, the Council will be running workshops across the borough for you to join. Please email the Community Partnerships team if you would like to come along to a workshop.
