More time to have your say on growth
There will be two more weeks to have your say on Bexley’s draft Growth Strategy after the Council extended the deadline of its public consultation.
The extended deadline for responses will be Friday 28 July.
“The Strategy is our vision for the borough’s future, so we are keen that as many people as possible understand it and tell us what they think,” explained Cllr Linda Bailey, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Growth. “Copies are available online and in libraries and it’s really easy to have your say on the website or on paper.
“Growth is already having an impact on the borough, and is starting to put pressure on local services. The purpose of the strategy is to manage it, so that growth produces the transport improvements, jobs, homes and quality communities we need to make the borough work for everyone.
“Change on the scale set out in the vision will only happen with support and investment from the Government and the Mayor of London. The most ambitious elements will take many years to become a reality.”
You can read about the Growth Strategy and have your say online or by asking to see the Strategy at your local library.
