Disposal of Open Space Land

Notice Is Hereby Given that The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Bexley (the Council) in exercise of their powers under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) intend to dispose of land within the London Borough of Bexley by way of lease together with such necessary rights for pedestrian and vehicular access and utility rights as follows:

  1. Two areas of land at Hall Place and Gardens, Bourne Road, Bexley DA5 1PQ, as shown coloured pink on plan 1 numbered BVS7830B, and as shown on the enlarged plan 2 numbered BVS7830C, which land extends to approximately 9,277.6 metres. The land is to be disposed of for a term of 20 years.
  2. The Lodge, Hall Place, Bourne Road,  Bexley, DA5 1PQ, as shown edged red on plan numbered BVS5394A, which land extends to approximately 164 square metres. The land is to be disposed of by way of the grant of a lease for a term of 5 years.
  3. Manor House Bowls Club, Mayplace Road East, Crayford DA1 4HB, as shown edged red (but excluding the area coloured green) on plan numbered BVS8130B, which land extends to approximately 4,731 square metres. The land is to be disposed of for a term of 10 years.
  4. Single-storey Park Building, part of Waterside Gardens, Crayford DA1 4JJ, as shown edged red on plan numbered BVS5237A, which land extends to approximately 105.5 square metres.  The land is to be disposed of for a term of 10 years.
  5. Danson Boathouse Kiosk, Danson Park, Danson Road, Bexleyheath DA6 8HL, as shown edged red on plan numbered BVS8608, which land extends to approximately 11.02 square metres.  The land is to be to be disposed of for a term of 5 years.
  6. Belvedere North Recreation Ground Kiosk (Splash Park), Woolwich Road, Belvedere DA17 5EW, as shown edged red on plan numbered BVS8607, which land extends to approximately 29.82 square metres. The land is to be disposed of for a term of 5  years.
  7. Northumberland Heath Recreation Ground Bowling Green and Pavilion, Sussex Road, Erith, DA8 1JB, as shown edged red on plan numbered BVS6822, which land extends to approximately 127 square metres.  The land is to be disposed of for a term of 10 years.

Location plans for each of these areas of land are available for inspection on request by telephoning 020 3045 4760 (ref: CJ) between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday or by e-mailing propertyservices@bexley.gov.uk

Any objection with respect to the proposed disposals must be made in writing and sent to the Deputy Director Legal and Democratic Services of the London Borough of Bexley, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT to be received on or before 5pm on 31 January 2025 and should state the grounds on which they are made.
