The Council of the London Borough of Bexley hereby gives notice that it is has made an Order under section 247(2A) of the Town and Country Planning Act (“the Act”) to stop up of parts of Erith High Street, Erith, Kent, in the London Borough of Bexley as set out in the schedule to enable the development, as consented by planning permission granted under Part III of the Act with reference 21/02449/FULM.

The Order will provide for the provision of additional public open space
A copy of the Order and plan drawing number EHS_SUO_001 may be inspected free of charge at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT on Mondays to Fridays between 9.30am to 4.30pm (excluding bank holidays and public holidays) and also at Erith Library, 100 Erith High St, Erith DA8 1SL for a period of 6 weeks commencing on 13 July 2022. 

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 13 July 2022, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained herein. 

Schedule

The highway to be stopped up is in the London Borough of Bexley and is part of Erith High Street, and is shown edged redlined and hatched thick black on plan reference EHS_SUO_001. The area to be stopped up is comprised of the 18 car parking spaces (3 of which are disabled spaces) measuring approximately 54 metres long by approximately 6.5 metres wide and is located opposite the Running Horses Public House and Gala House apartments adjacent to the southern boundary of Riverside Gardens.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable traffic management in Shakespeare Road, Bexleyheath by Morrisons Water Services on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Waiting restriction in Shakespeare Road - 2 bays at the side of 154 Brampton Road, Bexleyheath
