Gas Mains Replacement Scheme various roads in Bexleyheath and Welling - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to under their Gas Mains Replacement Scheme in various roads in Bexleyheath and Welling they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order. These restrictions will be for the full length of the carriageway on both sides for the roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 29 May 2023 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 30 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, no alternative route will be required.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Northall Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Thames Water Utilities to undertake repair and maintenance in the carriageway from 64 to 42 Northall Road, Bexleyheath, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Prohibition of traffic from 64 to 42 Northall Road, Bexleyheath.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 30 May 2023 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative route will be provided via Northall Road, Manor Way, Beverley Road, Northall Road, and reverse.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

Gas Mains Replacement Scheme - Various Roads in Abbey Wood - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of SGN to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement Scheme, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order. These restrictions will be for the full length of the carriageway on both sides for the roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order. Restrictions will be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 29 May 2023 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 14 weeks.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Cappagh Contractors on behalf of Thames Water to repair a collapsed sewer in the carriageway, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - Prohibition of traffic outside 12 Pickford Road, Bexleyheath.
    - One-way street to be turned into a two-way street on Pickford Lane from the junction with Broadway to the junction with Ethronvi Road Bexleyheath.
    - No entry sign on Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath to be suspended.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 30 May 2023 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 14 days.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable On-site on behalf of Thames Water to undertake repair and maintenance in the carriageway, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - Prohibition of traffic on South Road, Queens Road and Thanet Road from Boundary Street to James Watt Way, Erith
    - Banned left turn into Dell View Road, Erith
  2. The Order will come into effect on 30 May 2023 for 3 nights from 8pm to 5am, and on 5 August 2023 from Saturday at 8am until Monday 5am and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 nights in total.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, alternative routes will be provided via:

Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
  2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Orders would be to amend the Bexley (Sidcup Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018:
    a) To include ‘Old Farm Place, Sidcup’ into the Sidcup Station Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) operating Monday to Friday, 1pm to 3pm.
    b) Introduce 5x new ‘resident permit holder’ parking bays on the eastern side of Old Farm Place at the junction of Old Farm Avenue operating Monday to Friday, 1pm to 3pm.
    c) Introduce 2x new ‘resident permit holder’ parking bays on the western side of Old Farm Place at the junction of Old Farm Avenue operating Monday to Friday, 1pm to 3pm.
    d) Introduce 3x new ‘limited waiting’ parking bays on the western side of Old Farm Place at the junction of Old Farm Avenue operating Monday – Saturday 9am to 5.30pm maximum stay 2 hours, no return in 1 hour’.
  3. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Orders would be to amend the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Traffic Order 2019:
    a) Introduce new ‘At any time’ no waiting restrictions on Old Farm Place at the junction of Old Farm Avenue, the south-eastern bend of Old Farm Place outside of park entrance and the turning area to the east.
    b) Introduce new ‘Monday to Friday, 1pm to 3pm’ no waiting restrictions on all other parts of Old Farm Place.
    Note. The above Traffic Management Orders are proposed to manage parking demands in the new development by adding Old Farm Place to the existing Sidcup Station Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) as detailed in the planning process.
  4. Copies of the proposed Order, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Michael Wenbourne on 020 3045 3943.
  5. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objections and the grounds thereof, to the London Borough of Bexley, Traffic Services, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT or by email to traffic@bexley.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
  6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that this Council would be legally obliged to make any comment received in response to this Notice, open to public inspection.
