The Bexley (Waiting & Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 16) Traffic Order 2022

The Bexley (Loading Places) (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 2022

  1. Notice is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 20 September 2022 made the above-mentioned Traffic Orders under section 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, and of all other powers thereunto enabling,
  2. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 16) Traffic Order 2022 would be to amend waiting and loading restrictions on Broadway and Albion Road, Bexleyheath to introduce and control activity at loading places also proposed in this notice. Further details follow:
    a) introduce no waiting 7am to 9.30am and 4pm to 6.30pm on the south side of Broadway for two short lengths, one east of the eastern junction with Arnsberg Way, the other near the junction with Gravel Hill
    b) introduce no loading 7am to 9.30am and 4pm to 6.30pm on the south side of Broadway for two short lengths, as in item (a) above
  3. The general effect of the Bexley (Loading Places) (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 2022 would be to propose two new loading places on Broadway and one on Albion Road as follows:
    a) introduce a goods vehicle loading place between 9.30am and 4pm on the south side of Broadway for two short lengths, one east of the eastern junction with Arnsberg Way, the other near the junction with Gravel Hill.
    Note: The above measures are proposed in conjunction with the major retail and residential development called Eastside Quarter. Proposed changes waiting and loading restrictions associated with the provision of a loading place on Albion Road, and proposals for a loading place on Albion Road are not being progressed at this time.
  4. Copies of the Orders, which become operational on 26 September 2022, the corresponding Parent Orders (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT.
  5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Martin Wybraniec on 020 3045 5812.
  6. Persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the day on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Church Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable JB Riney on behalf of The London Borough of Bexley to undertake highway improvement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic from 123 to 171 Church Road, Bexleyheath
    • Waiting restriction from 123 to 171 Church Road, Bexleyheath
    • Loading prohibition from 123 to 171 Church Road, Bexleyheath
  2. The Order will come into effect on 26 September 2022 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative route will be provided via:
    • Station Road, Glengall Road, Woodlands Road, Avenue Road, Broadway, Church Road, and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

    • Prohibition of traffic from 286 to 298 Westwood Lane, Welling
    • Waiting restriction from 286 to 298 Westwood Lane, Welling
    • Loading prohibition from 286 to 298 Westwood Lane, Welling
  2. The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2022 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 nights from 10pm to 2am.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative route will be provided via:
    • Blackfen Road, Danson Road, Parkview Road, High Street, Bellegrove Road, Westwood Lane, and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of SGN to conduct Gas Mains Replacement Scheme in various roads in Crayford, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Waiting restriction
    • Loading prohibition
    In roads listed in Schedule One in this Order. Restrictions will be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2022 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 20 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, no alternative routes will be required.
