Bexley felt the force of Storm Ciara yesterday (Sunday).
Our emergency teams dealt with 9 fallen trees, 2 collapsed walls, 2 flooding incidents, 1 road traffic accident, 1 collapsed hoarding and 1 fallen sign.
There are likely to be other issues of which we are not yet aware.
Councillor Peter Craske, Cabinet Member for Places said: “The force of Storm Ciara has been felt across the country and here in Bexley. I want to thank all of our teams who dealt with the impact calmly and effectively across the borough yesterday and will continue to do so today.”
There is currently a large amount of windblown debris across the borough. This will take time to clean up as heavy showers are forecast for this afternoon and gusty winds for today and tomorrow.
