Traffic delays in Bexley Village
Repairs to a dangerous roof to two private properties in Bexley Village are unfortunately taking longer than expected. Traffic lights will continue to operate at the roundabout until at least next week.
The Council is in regular contact with those responsible for the works and are pressing for it to be completed as soon as possible. The contractor has been working over the weekend to try to achieve this.
Scaffolding had to be put up to deal with emergency structural concerns with the roof, to avoid serious danger to the public from loose roof slate tiles.
The contractor expects the work to be completed sometime in the week beginning 15 May.
The works are not being carried out by the Council and were not planned.
