Visit the Erith Kitchen in August
Last month’s ‘Erith Kitchen’ event was a great success, with more than 200 people stopping by to enjoy street food, ice cream and live entertainment. This month’s event is due to take place on 17 August from 4pm to 9pm and is likely to be just as popular.
The pop-up event promises even more fantastic flavours from some of your favourite foodies such as homemade Italian gnocchi from The Gnocchi Shop, African cuisine from Lalu Catering. A unique ice cream experience, luxury alcohol infused and alcohol free ice creams and sorbets, will be provided by JW Ice Cream Co and more traders will be announced nearer the time!
All the while, musicians will perform against the backdrop of Erith’s riverfront. As well as bringing people closer to the Thames, Erith Kitchen hopes to evoke Erith’s history as a place of riverside leisure. The Kitchen will pop-up at the eastern end of Pier Road, near Morrisons.
Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Growth, Cllr Louie French said; “This fantastic event is just a small part of a regeneration programme aimed at developing Erith into a thriving riverside community. Erith has a unique setting right by the River Thames and it has so much to offer visitors. I’d encourage residents to #doitforbexley. Pop down and support this brilliant local event.”
Comments from visitors to last month’s event on 20 July included… “The food was amazing”, “my family and I enjoyed the community feel”, “amazing pizza and fabulous gnocchi!”
