We need your views on our local town centres!

Town centres are at the heart of the borough's economy, providing not only shopping, services, socialising and employment, but also a sense of place. But town centres across the country are facing unprecedented pressures and the role of High Streets is rapidly changing.

The Council's new Town Centres team are developing a Strategy which will seek to counter potential decline in each of our key town centres and will help facilitate good growth.

We are engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including businesses, investors and residents to adopt a joint action plan.

We are also seeking views from businesses, residents and town centre visitors as part of our research. We have launched an online survey to capture feedback on how people are using our town centres - what is good or bad, and what improvements they would like to see in the future.

The survey should take just a few minutes to complete and your input to this is important. Please take the time to take the survey and encourage colleagues, family members, friends and neighbours to respond as well. The survey closes on 15 July.
