Mental Health and Wellbeing Resources for Adults
Talking therapy
Receive free talking therapy through the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (IAPT) at Mind in Bexley. We can offer support to those struggling with low mood, frustration, depression, anxiety, sleeping difficulties that have an impact on your daily life e.g. work, relationships, family life or caring role.

- If you are stressed, worried or feeling down right now you can call the MIND in Bexley Wellbeing Line on 0808 196 3806 (Open Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm)
- You can also phone the Counselling Matters helpline which is staffed by counsellors on 0800 047 26000 (open 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week)
Crisis resources
If you feel suicidal and you feel unable to keep yourself (or others) safe you should call 999 or attend an A&E Department (Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich or Darent Valley Hospital)
If you need to speak to someone about how you are feeling, the Oxleas Crisis Line 0800 330 8590 is a 24hr telephone service for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. The crisis line provides an opportunity to talk to a mental health professional about your mental health crisis. The service also provides advice and information for carers, family and friends who may know someone experiencing a mental health crisis.

- SANEline is a national out-of-hours mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support, guidance and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carers. Open every day of the year from 4.30pm to 10.30pm on 0300 304 7000.
- The Bexley Crisis Café is a safe and friendly place to come to if you are experiencing severe emotional or psychological distress. The service provides access to mental health support and advice from mental health and wellbeing professionals.
Opening times: 6 pm to 10 pm from Monday to Sunday and Bank Holidays.
