Affordable home ownership options

We work with housing associations which develop affordable home ownership schemes.

These schemes are designed to help people who are unable to afford to buy their own home or rent a good quality home on the open market.

Shared Ownership

With shared ownership schemes, you buy a share of a property and pay rent on the remainder. Later, if your financial circumstances allow, further shares can be bought until finally, you own the property outright. Further details can be found at Share to Buy.

London Help to Buy

The London Help to Buy scheme allows you to buy a new home in London with the help of a Government equity loan. The loan will be up to 40% of the cost of the property and is interest-free for the first five years. You will need a minimum 5% deposit and a 55% mortgage to make up the rest. The Quarry, Erith

L&Q are developing a number of two and three bedroom houses for shared ownership at The Quarry in Erith.

Erith Park, Erith

Orbit South Housing Association are developing a substantial number of one and two bedroom apartments at Erith Park for shared ownership.

Brampton Road / Glynde Road, Bexleyheath
