Policies and publications linked to the Growth Strategy

The new strategy will be the first step in updating the Council’s Local Plan documents. Consultation took place in 2014 on the Council's emerging vision for growth (PDF, 748KB) and proposed a number of key principles for growth.

The Council and the Mayor of London have published a Direction of Travel document (PDF, 4MB) about the borough's vision. It explains the process and how it will affect development in the short term.

The Council is working with a range of partners to campaign for Crossrail 1 to be extended across the north of the borough to Ebbsfleet near Gravesend to support growth and regeneration.
