Bexley has entered into a new partnership with Gro Health, offering Bexley residents a new free, comprehensive weight management programme. The initiative is designed to provide a quality service that promotes healthier lifestyles for residents.

The free Gro Health Weight Management Programme, available both online and in-person, combines digital tools with traditional coaching methods.

Developed in collaboration with NHS obesity specialists and incorporating feedback from over 20,000 service users, the programme offers tailored support designed to meet individual needs. Residents can access the service through primary care referrals or by self-referral.

Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Cllr Melvin Seymour said:

We know that there are many adults in Bexley living with obesity. Creating a local environment that supports everyone to have a healthy weight is a priority for us. We are committed to providing our community with the necessary tools to take the right steps to improve their health. The new Gro Health partnership is key to making this happen. I’d urge residents who feel this programme would benefit them to take a look at what is on offer."

Gro Health participants will benefit from holistic education, recipes, on-demand exercise classes and group and one-to-one health coaching available in a range of languages. This Gro Health approach aims to help residents achieve sustainable weight loss and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Arjun Panesar, Founding CEO of DDM Health, the providers of Gro Health, added:

At Gro Health, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and removing barriers to positive lifestyle changes. We are thrilled to bring this programme to Bexley and look forward to seeing its positive impact on the community."
