The London Borough of Bexley is seeking one or more operators to manage four of its food and drink outlets in its parks and open spaces.
There are three contracts available in Danson Park and one at Belvedere North Recreation Ground:
- Boathouse Kiosk, Danson Park – 22 May 2024 to 21 May 2027
- Playground Kiosk, Danson Park – 20 May 2024 to 19 May 2027
- Ice Cream Concession, Danson Park – 20 May 2024 to 19 May 2027
- Belvedere North Recreation Ground Kiosk - 20 May 2024 to 19 May 2027
The Boathouse kiosk is located near the 7.8-hectare lake in Danson Park which is used throughout the year by Danson Park Adventures for water sports and various groups for fishing. It is a popular stop for visitors and dog walkers in the park.
The kiosk adjacent to the often-busy children’s playground area in Danson Park is currently managed by the Council. This opportunity is looking to invite businesses to take on the kiosk to develop and enhance its offerings and customer base.
The third contract available at Danson Park offers desirable locations within the park to host two ice cream vans.
The kiosk at Belvedere North Recreation Ground serves both park areas on either side of Woolwich Road (A206). It has been vacant since before the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council is looking for an enthusiastic operator to develop an outstanding offering to the many users of the park and create a popular destination for those in the North of the Borough.
