Bexley Autism Strategy
The Bexley Autism Strategy outlines our shared vision and priorities for improving the lives of autistic people in Bexley. It includes an action plan that sets out how we will achieve these goals in partnership with local organisations, services and the community. The strategy reflects the experiences and views of autistic people and those who care for and support them. You can read the full strategy at Bexley Autism Strategy.
How we developed the Strategy
We worked closely with autistic people, their families and carers, and professionals who support them. We held a range of in-person and online events, and gathered feedback through surveys, emails, and written submissions. This inclusive approach helped ensure the strategy reflects what matters most to the community.
Next steps
The Bexley Autism Partnership Board will oversee its implementation. We will:
- monitor progress against the action plan
- continue engaging with the community
- review and update the strategy and action plan, as needed
National context
Our local strategy aligns with the National Autism Strategy 2021 to 2026, which aims to improve the lives of autistic people across England.
