Bexley 0 to 19 Children's Public Health Service

Health visiting

Bromley Healthcare delivers the 0 to 19 Children’s Public Health Service. Oxleas will continue to provide specialist services for children in the borough.

The Bexley 0 to 19 Children’s Public Health Service supports parents and carers to give their babies, children and young people the best possible start in life.

Health Visitors work with children aged 0 to four years.

All parents/carers can expect the following from their Health Visitor:

  • an antenatal visit at home for pregnant mums
  • a new baby visit
  • an assessment when the baby is six to eight weeks old
  • a one year review
  • a review for children aged between two years and two and a half years old
  • information and advice for preparing for school at three and a half to four years old

These checks are to support the development of your child and to provide you with advice and information.
