You will be instrumental in mitigating the projected financial shortfalls while simultaneously ensuring the delivery of the best possible services for residents and long-term value for money. This is proactive leadership that prevents the need for service reductions through reduced funding.

Strategic impact

The Transformation and Delivery Unit will directly influence the direction and success of Future Bexley, working closely with the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) and senior leaders across the organisation.

Your expertise will be vital in translating the Council's vision into accountable, service-led change. This involves establishing robust governance frameworks and clear prioritisation plans for all key improvement work. You will ensure that every phase of the transformation - from initial analysis to final delivery - is focused on improving service delivery and securing long-term value for our residents. This is your chance to own and drive the successful delivery of Bexley’s corporate transformation agenda.

End-to-end transformation

You will be joining a permanent, strategically enhanced Unit designed for long-term delivery and impact. We are moving beyond temporary project teams to embed a sustainable, high-performing function that drives organisational change.

This is a truly end-to-end role, integrating the entire lifecycle of transformation: from initial analysis and strategy development , through execution and delivery, right up to establishing robust assurance and governance frameworks. Your role contributes directly to a cohesive model that ensures sustained financial benefit and service improvement for every Bexley resident.
