What is the Crisis and Resilience Fund?
The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) provides:
- crisis support residents who are experiencing sudden financial shocks
- strengthens community-based support available to help residents from having these shocks happen again
The CRF aims to:
- reduce experiences of material deprivation
- reduce the need for emergency food parcels
- increase access to appropriate and quality advice services
- increase residents’ savings
- reduce priority debt
- maximise individual’s incomes
- reduce the need for ongoing financial support through Crisis Payments or Housing Payments
What makes up the CRF?
The CRF is made up of the following four key elements aimed at providing comprehensive support:
- Housing Payments
- Crisis Support
- Resilience Services
- Community Coordination
It is important that you read all the information provided before making the decision to apply for a payment.
There is a single application form at the bottom of the page for applying for support through the CRF.
The Council will request reasonable evidence in support of your application and will consider any other available evidence held by the Council. The Council reserves the right to verify any information or evidence provided by the claimant in appropriate circumstances.
No one who applies is guaranteed a payment; this is not an entitlement/benefit scheme.
