Readers in Bexley are invited to a special afternoon with one of the world’s leading authors, Lesley Pearse, at Central Library on Thursday, 25 September.
Lesley Pearse is an international best-selling author with more than 10 million copies sold and an incredible record of chart-topping novels that have captured the hearts of readers for the last 30 years.
This special event gives fans a rare chance to hear Lesley speak about her life and works - including her memoir The Long and Winding Road and her brand-new novel The Girl with the Suitcase.
Lesley was born in Kent during the Second World War with her first book being published when she was 48.
Councillor Brian Bishop, Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, said:
Hot off the heels of adopting our new library strategy, I’m thrilled that Central Library, Bexleyheath will be hosting such a high profile and much-loved author.
Our libraries work hard to bring authors to local audiences and it’s a sign of our success that one of the UKs favourite authors wants to come to Bexley Libraries and meet her local fans.”
