To celebrate 60 years of the London Borough of Bexley, Mayor Cllr Christine Catterall was joined by Cllr Sue Gower MBE JP at Hall Place to plant a new topiary tree.
They were joined by Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services and Health, Cllr Melvin Seymour, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Cllr Richard Diment, Cllr Baroness O’Neill of Bexley OBE, the Mayor’s Consort and others to mark this special occasion.
In the afternoon, the Mayor unveiled a commemorative bench in Danson Park, installed beside the Charter Oak, as a lasting tribute to the Borough’s 60th anniversary.
These celebrations highlight our pride in Bexley’s history and community spirit as we continue #MakingBexleyEvenBetter.
