HAF Programme 2025

holiday activities and food programme

The London Borough of Bexley is providing enjoyable activities and healthy food to school-age children and young people from Reception to Year 11 as part of the government’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme.

The places on the HAF Programme are funded for families that receive benefits-related Free School Meals (FSM) and have school-age children from Reception up to Year 11 attending a school in Bexley. Some of the holiday programmes also offer free places for those families not receiving free school meals.

The programme will offer children and young people exciting ways for keeping active, being creative and trying something new during the summer holidays.

From Monday 21 July until Friday 29 August, eligible children and young people will be able to attend up to 16 days at different holiday schemes across Bexley at no cost.

The programme will include a variety of fun activities, including sports, food making activities, arts and crafts, computer coding, career workshops and CV writing and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop new skills, alongside a nutritious meal each day.

Councillor Newton, Cabinet Member for Education, said:

The Holiday Activities and Food programme in Bexley is about more than just keeping children busy during the break — it’s about giving them access to healthy meals, enriching experiences and vital life skills. Whether through sports, cooking, arts or mentoring, this programme offers a warm, welcoming and enriching environment for our young residents during the Summer holiday break"
