School-age children and young people across Bexley can look forward to an action-packed Easter holiday by taking part in Bexley ’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme.
Running from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April, the government-funded initiative offers eligible participants from Reception to Year 11 the opportunity to engage in a wide range of enriching activities.
From sports and arts and crafts to interactive food-making workshops, the programme is designed to help young people stay active, socialise and develop new skills in a safe environment.
Every participant will also receive a nutritious, healthy meal as part of their daily session.
Councillor Caroline Newton, Cabinet Member for Education and Corporate Services, said:
We are delighted to bring back the HAF Programme this Easter. It is a vital resource for our community, ensuring that children have access to healthy food and engaging activities that foster growth and well-being outside of term time. We want every child in Bexley to have the chance to stay active and inspired over the break."
The HAF Programme is specifically funded for children and young people from Reception to Year 11 attending a school in Bexley who are receiving benefits-related Free School Meals.
Paid-for places are also available for families who do not meet the eligibility criteria for funded spots but still wish for their children to take part.
Last year, 2,084 children benefitted from the Easter HAF programme.
Families are encouraged to view the full schedule of events and secure their spots early. For more information on the programme, eligibility and how to book visit our website.
