Applications for nursery and reception admissions are still open until 15 January and we would like to remind parents to apply before the deadline.

Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 will be due to start in Reception in September 2026, while places will be offered to those who applied on time on 16 April next year.

We would encourage parents to use our Born Ready, School Ready, Bexley Ready guide in helping to prepare children ahead of beginning their school journey.

The guide is a resource offered by the London Borough of Bexley for families, providing ideas on how to support learning and play at home.

Cllr Caroline Newton, Cabinet Member for Education, said:

We would like to remind parents the deadline to apply for nursery and reception places is approaching quickly. If you have not already applied, please do not delay, a child’s early development is crucial to their success. I would encourage families to use the resources available below to prepare their children for beginning nursery and reception, as well as to apply online and secure their child’s place if they have not already done so.”

Some schools require the completion of a supplementary form. Please check that you have completed one where required, and that it is returned to the school directly.

For children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, you can request a late Nursery 2025/2026 application. Please contact schooladmissions@bexley.gov.uk for details on how to submit a late application.
