Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2026

Station Road, Sidcup - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned footpath, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Centurion Traffic Management on behalf of Network Rail to undertake the examination of the railway bridge in Station Road, Sidcup they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be to close the subways (pedestrian walkways) in Station Road outside and opposite Enroute Coffee Shop.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2026 and is valid for a period of 6 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days (overnight) from 2200 to 0600.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative crossing point will be available for pedestrians.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, to emergency service personnel or to persons undertaking the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Fraser Road, Erith - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable a water mains replacement by Galliford Try on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic in Fraser Road from the junction with Erith Road to the junction with Bexley Road, Erith
    • A speed reduction from 30Mph to 20Mph in Fraser Road from the junction with Erith Road to the junction with Bexley Road, Erith
  2. The Order will come into effect on 25 June 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within phases over 18 months.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via, 
    • For traffic travelling Eastbound to Erith
      • Fraser Road, Erith Road, Brook Street, Carlton Road, Bexley Road
    • For traffic travelling Westbound to Belvedere
      • Bexley Road, Bronze Age Way, Picardy Manor Way, Eastern Way, Harrow Manor Way, McLeod Road, Basildon Road, Bostall Hill, Woolwich Road, Erith Road, Fraser Road.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Station Road, Crayford - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable essential works to railway bridge HDR 809 by Amey Consulting on behalf of Network Rail they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) on and for 20 meters either side of the railway bridge in Station Road, Crayford
  2. The Order will come into effect on 1 July and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via, 
    • Station road - Chastillian road - Princes Road - Crayford Road - Station road and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 
    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Lion Road from outside 28 to the junction with Broadway, Bexleyheath
    • No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Lion Road from outside 28 to the junction with Broadway, Bexleyheath
  2. The Order will come into effect on 23 June 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via,

Station Road, Sidcup - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable Amey Consulting South East Anglia on behalf of Network Rail to undertake a detailed examination of the railway bridge HDR/789, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 
    • Prohibition of traffic on Station Road, Sidcup from 111 to 109 Station Road, Sidcup
  2. The Order will come into effect on 22 June 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days from 2200 to 0600.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
    Hatherley Crescent, Faraday Avenue, Foots Cray Lane, Hurst Road, and reverse.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Queens Road, Welling entire length of the road both sides of the carriageway.

Broadway, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are satisfied that the execution of these works will take longer than the standard 18 months length of the order and in exercise of powers conferred by section 15(2) of the same act, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable special events to take place, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will enable the short closure to vehicular traffic, when required by the Metropolitan Police Service of the roads in Schedule One to this Order between 8am to 3pm, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 
    • Prohibition of traffic at 9:45am and 1pm by the Metropolitan Police Service of the following:
      • Watling Street junction with Gravel Hill/Erith Road/Broadway, Bexleyheath
      • Broadway junction with Highland Road, Bexleyheath

  2. The Order will come into effect on 28 June 2026 and is valid for an indefinite period. However, the works are expected to be ongoing, this Order shall be revoked according to Section 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  3. Whilst the event in Broadway, Bexleyheath is in progress no alternative route will be available. 
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Bexley (Welling Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2026

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above-mentioned Traffic Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.
  2. The general effect of the Bexley (Welling Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2026 would be to amend the Bexley (Welling Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018 to:
    • reduce the Resident Permit parking place in front of No. 95 Burnell Avenue.
    • The removed bay will be replaced with a single yellow line operating between 1.00pm and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday
  3. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Bexley (the Council) in exercise of their powers under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) intend to dispose of the land known as the Boys and Girls Memorial Hall, Bourne Road, Bexley (the Disposal Land) by way of a lease together with such ancillary rights as may be required. 

The Disposal Land, for the purposes of identification is the area edged red on plan number BVS8773, which extends to approximately 1,700 square metres. The Disposal Land is to be disposed by way of a lease for a term of 20 years.

The Disposal Land plan is available for inspection on request by telephoning the Council on 020 3045 4521 (ref 8216160) between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays or by e-mailing Legal-Conveyancing@bexley.gov.uk 

Any objection with respect to the proposed disposals must be made in writing and sent to the Deputy Director Legal and Democratic Services of the London Borough of Bexley, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT to be received before 5:00pm on 03 July 2026 and should state the grounds on which they are made.
