Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Church Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Remedial works by Compass infrastructure on behalf of UK Power Networks they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Prohibition of traffic in Church Road, Bexleyheath from the rear of the bakery to the junction with the Broadway, Bexleyheath
  2. The Order will come into effect on 29 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
    - Church Road, Belvedere Road – Long Lane – Erith Road – Mayplace Road West – Arnsberg Way – Broadway and reverse
    - Broadway, Crook Log, Avenue Road, Pickford Lane, Long Lane, Belvedere Road, Church Road and Reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Roman Way, Crayford - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Installation of a new electricity by OCU Modus Utilities on behalf of UK Power Networks they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Cycle Lane suspension in Roman Way from outside the petrol station to the junction with Stadium Way, Crayford
  2. The Order will come into effect on 28 March 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Upton Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable M Group Water Limited on behalf of Thames Water to undertake a new cross connection, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Prohibition of traffic on Upton Road, Bexleyheath at the side of 337 Broadway to the junction of the Broadway.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 30 March 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
    - westbound diversion – Crook Log, Danson Road, around the roundabout back up Danson Road, Brook Log, Broadway Albion Road, Townley Road
    - eastbound diversion – Broadway, Albion Road, Townley Road
    - northbound diversion – Upton Road, Townley Road, Albion Road, Broadway
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Welling High Street, Welling - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic – directional closure eastbound on Welling High Street, Welling from the junction with Upper Wickham Lane to the junction with Nags Head Lane, Welling
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition eastbound on Welling High Street, Welling from the junction with Upper Wickham Lane to the junction with Nags Head Lane, Welling
  2. The Order will come into effect on 23 March 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via Upper Wickham Lane, Okehampton Crescent, Brampton Road, Park View Road, Welling High Street.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic directional westbound closure on Bellegrove Road, Welling from the junction with Ruskin Avenue to Opp 126 Bellegrove Road, Welling
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition westbound on Bellegrove Road, Welling from the junction with Ruskin Avenue to Opp 126 Bellegrove Road, Welling
  2. The Order will come into effect on 19 March 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via Upper Wickham Lane. Wickham Street.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Section 247 (2a)

Notice of Proposal to Stop Up The Highway

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Bexley hereby gives notice that it is proposing to make an order under section 247(2A) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (“the Act”) authorising the stopping up of area of highway at Bexley Road cul-de-sac, Erith in the London Borough of Bexley.
  2. If the order is made the stopping up will enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Act with reference: 25/01304/FULM.
  3. A copy of the draft order and Plan no. BEX/SUO/024 may be inspected free of charge at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3pm (excluding bank holidays and public holidays) for a period of 28 days commencing on 18 March 2026.
  4. Anyone wanting to object to the making of the order should write to the Council at Legal Services, London Borough of Bexley, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT or by e-mail to Legal-Highways@bexley.gov.uk (quoting reference RZC/11793568) no later than 15 April 2026 which is 28 days following the date of this notice. Such objections (including personal data) may be made available to the applicant, the Council, and for public inspection generally. Objections (including personal data) may also be included in public reports to the Council and the Mayor of London and made available to any public inquiry into the draft order.
