Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Thanet Road, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable mains replacement works by M Group Water on behalf of Thames Water, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • No waiting no loading for the entire length of Thanet Road, Bexley
  • A suspension of the yellow lines to prevent parking for the entire length of Thanet Road, Bexley

2. The Order will come into effect on 3 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 152 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available, 

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Cross Lane, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable essential works to maintain the telecoms network by Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of Openreach, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic for approximately 95 metres, starting from a point outside No. 9, Cross Lane, Bexley.

2. The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

  • Upton road south-parkhurst road-parkhill road and reverse 
  • Upton Road South - Riverdale Road - Bridgen Road - Parkhill Road and reverse

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Hurstwood Avenue, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable a new service connection by Southern Gas Networks, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic outside 7 to 11 Hurstwood Avenue, Bexley

2. The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 7 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

  • Hurst Road, Camden Road, Greenside, Maiden Erlegh Avenue, Hurstwood Avenue and reverse 

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Parkhill Road and Thanet Road, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable M Group Water (Network Infrastructure) Limited to undertake their mains replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic on Parkhill Road at the junction with Thanet Road, Bexley
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition (no parking on yellow lines) at any time on Parkhill Road and Thanet Road, Bexley

2. The Order will come into effect on 5 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

  • Hurst Road, Penhill Road, Blendon Road, Bridgen Road and vice versa
  • Arburthnot Lane, Townley Road, Albion Road, Gravel Hill, Bourne Road, Bexley High Street, and vice versa 

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Woolwich Road and adjacent roads in Belvedere - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are satisfied that the execution of these works will take longer than the standard 18 months length of the order and in exercise of powers conferred by section 15(2) of the same act, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf of The London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

  • Prohibition of traffic on Woolwich Road, Belvedere from the junction with Knee Hill to the junction with Nuxley Road, Belvedere
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Woolwich Road, Belvedere from the junction with Knee Hill to the junction with Nuxley Road, Belvedere
    No egress or ingress in any side road adjacent to Woolwich Road, Belvedere
  • Localised diversion will be signposted

2. The Order will come into effect on 3 September 2026 and is valid for an indefinite period. However, the works are expected to be ongoing, this Order shall be revoked according to section 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

  • Woolwich Road, Picardy Road, Picardy Street, Gilbert Road, Abbey Road, New Road, and reverse.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable (WHAT, AND FOR WHO), the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic in King Harolds Way, Bexleyheath from No. 3 to the junction with Brampton Road, Bexleyheath
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in King Harolds Way, Bexleyheath from No. 3 to the junction with Brampton Road, Bexleyheath
  • No egress or ingress in any side road adjacent to King Harolds Way, Bexleyheath
  • Restrictions to be removed when no longer required

2. The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 15 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

  • King Harolds Way, Bedonwell Road, Woolwich Road, Brampton Road, and reverse.
  • Brampton Road, Long Lane, Bedonwell Road, King Harolds Way, and reverse.
  • Localised diversions will be signposted

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Dorcis Avenue, Oldfield Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable gas mains replacements by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Dorcis Avenue at the junction with Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath
  • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Oldfield Road at the junction with Pickford Lane, Bexleyheath
  • Rolling road closure, restrictions to be removed when not required

2. The Order will come into effect on 7 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 12 weeks.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

  • Pickford Lane, Long Lane, Brampton Road, Dorcis Avenue and reverse
  • Pickford Lane, Long Lane, Hudson Road, Fairfield Road, Church Road, Oldfield Road
  • Localised diversions will be signposted

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Bexley High Street, Bexley, and adjacent side roads - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable M Group Water (Network Infrastructure) Limited to undertake their mains replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of: 

  • Prohibition of traffic along Bexley High Street from the junction with Parkhill Road to Bourne Road, Bexley
  • Prohibition of traffic in the adjacent side roads to Bexley High Street, Bexley namely Kenley close, Salisbury Road, Oxford Mews, Station Approach and Tan Yard Lane, Bexley
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition along Bexley High Street, Bexley both sides of the carriageway.
  • Removal of the weight limit restriction in Foots Cray High Street
    Access to side roads to be maintained where possible

2. The Order will come into effect on 3 September 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 149 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

  • Hurst Road, Penhill Road, Footscray Lane, Bexley Lane, Rectory Lane, Knoll Road, Sidcup Hill, Foots Cray High Street, Maidstone Road, North Cray Road and vice versa
  • North Cray Road, Maidstone Road, Sidcup Hill, Sidcup High Street, Station Road, Faraday Avenue, Footscray Lane, Hurst Road and vice versa
  • Thanet Road, Bourne Road and vice versa
  • Localised diversions will be in place.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
