Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Bayliss Avenue, and Crossway, Thamesmead - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable J Browne Construction on behalf of Thames Water to undertake a rising main replacement, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Bayliss Avenue, Thamesmead, from No. 7 to the junction with Crossway, Thamesmead – both sides of the carriageway
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Crossway, Thamesmead, just after the bus stop (Lister Walk) to just before the roundabout – on both sides of the carriageway
  1. The Order will come into effect on 2 February 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 34 days.
  2. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required.
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Crayford Way, Crayford - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable the installation of electrical ducting by SMOP Clean Tech on behalf of Aurora Utilities Limited the effects of which will be the introduction of: No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Crayford Way from outside 198 to the junction with Mill Place, Crayford
  2. The Order will come into effect on 26 January 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Alsike Road, Abbey Wood - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable Mayfair Investments Ltd on behalf of London Underground to place a Welfare Unit in Alsike Road, Abbey Wood, the effects of which will be the introduction of: Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition from opposite 72 to 75 Alsike Road, Abbey Wood
  2. The Order will come into effect on 22 January 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 365 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition full length of Halfway Street on both sides of the road from outside Wingfield Court to the junction with Brookend Road.
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Hollies Avenue from the junction with Halfway Street for 50m on both sides of the road

  • Prohibition of traffic Hollies Avenue at the junction with Halfway Street, Sidcup
  • Prohibition of traffic on Braundton Avenue at the junction with Halfway Street, Sidcup
  • Banned turning movement from Halfway Street into Hollies Avenue and Braundton Avenue, Sidcup
  1. The Order will come into effect on 2 February 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 8 weeks.
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable J Browne Construction on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their Water Mains Replacement work, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic on Chislehurst Road, Sidcup (directional closure northbound) from the A20 to The Park, Sidcup
  • Prohibition of traffic on Elm Road, Sidcup (directional closure northbound) from Chislehurst Road to the junction with Station Road, Sidcup.
  • Banned right turn from Jenner Close into Elm Road
  • There will be no egress or ingress for northbound traffic from the junction with the A20 to the junction with Station Road, Sidcup – namely Upperton Road, Sidcup Place, The Park, The Green, and Carlton Road

  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
  • Chislehurst Road diversion
  • Sidcup bypass, Cray Road, Sidcup Hill, Sidcup High Street, Elm Road, Chislehurst Road
  • Elm Road diversion
  • High Street, Sidcup Hill Cray Road, Sidcup Bypass, Chislehurst Road
  • Main Road, Footscray Road, Southwood Road, Sidcup Road, Chislehurst Road
  • Localised diversions will be implemented where required.
