Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

Various roads in the London Borough of Bexley - Remembrance Day Parades - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are satisfied that the execution of this special event will take longer than the standard 18 months length of the order and in exercise of powers conferred by Section 15(2) of the same act, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable special events to take place, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will enable the short closure to vehicular traffic, when required by the Metropolitan Police Service of the roads in Schedule One to this Order, between 10am and 1.30pm, the effects of which will be the introduction of Prohibition of traffic – Bexleyheath, Crayford, Foots Cray, Bexley, and Sidcup area as per Schedule One of this Order.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 9 November 2025 and is valid for an indefinite period.  However, the special event is expected to be ongoing, this Order shall be revoked according to section 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative route will be available to use.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council Contractor on behalf of the London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic on Station Road, Sidcup from the junction with Manor Road to the junction with Sandhurst Road, Sidcup
    - prohibition of traffic on Crescent Road, Sidcup at the junction with Station Road, Sidcup
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Station Road, Sidcup from the junction with Manor Road to the junction with Sandhurst Road, Sidcup
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Crescent Road, Sidcup at the junction with Station Road, Sidcup
  2. The Order will come into effect on 6 November 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
    - Station Road, Sidcup diversion
    - Hatherley Road, Faraday Avenue, Bexley Lane, Rectory Lane, Sidcup High Street
    - Station Road, Longlands Road, Main Road, Elm Road Chislehurst Road, around the roundabout Chislehurst Road, Elm Road, Station Road.
    - Crescent Road Sidcup diversion
    - Station Road, Manor Road Christchurch Road. Crescent Road and reverse
    - Station Road, Victoria Road, Christchurch Road, Cresent Road and reverse.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

James Watt Way, Erith - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of Prohibition of traffic of traffic on James Watt Way, Erith, from the junction of Queens Road to the junction of Manor Road, Erith. Restriction to be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 17 November 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
    - Access to James Watt Way via Bridge Road, Erith
    - Bridge Road, Slade Green Road, Manor Road and reverse
    - Access to James Watt Way via Northend Road
    - Travel north on Northend Road, take the 4 exit off the Tesco roundabout, south on Northend Road, Bridge Road, Slade Green Road and Manor Road
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Brook Street and York Terrace, Erith - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic on Brook Street, Erith from the junction with Belmont Road to the junction with York Terrace, Erith
    - prohibition of traffic on York Terrace from the junction with Brook Street to the junction with Becton Place, Erith
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Brook Street, Erith from the junction with Belmont Road to the junction with York Terrace, Erith (both sides of the carriageway)
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on York Terrace from the junction with Brook Street to the junction with Becton Place, Erith (both sides of the carriageway)
  2. The Order will come into effect on 17 November 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
    - Diversion for Brook Street Erith
    - Bexley Road, Carlton Road, Brook Street and vice versa
    - Belmont Road, Bedonwell Road, Long Lane, Erith Road, Brook Street and vice versa
    - Diversion for York Terrace, Erith
    - Bexley Road, Carlton Road, Brook Street, Belmont Road, Becton Place and York Terrace
    - Belmont Road, Becton Place, York Terrace and vice versa.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Rye Close, Bexley - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable the M Group on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their Water Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic on Rye Close – entire length of the road from the junction with Rochester Drive, Bexley, to the dead end
    - waiting restriction and loading prohibition entire length of the road from the junction with Rochester Drive, Bexley, to the dead end (both sides of the carriageway)
  2. The Order will come into effect on 17 November 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 127 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress, no alternative routes will be provided; however, access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents when required.
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Ely Close, and Dale View, Erith - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic on Ely Close, Erith, from the junction with Lincoln Road, Erith to the end of the Close (dead end)
    - prohibition of traffic from outside and opposite 42 Dale View to the junction with Whitehall Lane, Erith
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition along the entire length of Ely Close, Erith, both sides of the carriageway
    - waiting restriction and Loading prohibition from No. 42 Dale View, Erith, to the junction with Whitehall Lane
    - Restrictions to be removed when not required.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 10 November 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 7 weeks.
    - Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required:
    - Ely Close closure - access is to be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles
    - Dale View closure - access is to be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are satisfied that the execution of these works will take longer than the standard 18 months length of the order and in exercise of powers conferred by section 15(2) of the same act, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway maintenance works by a council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) for the entire length of Wallhouse Road, Ray Lamb Way, Burnett Road, Erith
     - no waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) for the entire length of Wallhouse Road, Ray Lamb Way, Burnett Road, Erith
  2. The Order will come into effect on 6 November 2025 and is valid for an indefinite period. However, the works are expected to be ongoing, this Order shall be revoked according to section 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available
    - Access will be maintained
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

The Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 34)  Traffic Order 2025

  1. Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 3 November 2025 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
  2. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No 34) Traffic Order 2025 would be to a) Introduce new ‘At any time’ no waiting restrictions in parts of Bexley Road, Erith and Brook Street Northumberland Heath. Note: the proposed zebra crossing advertised in a separate notice will make alterations to school keep clear markings.
  3. Copies of the Order, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT.
