We are delighted to announce that the much-loved Sidcup Storyteller cinema and café have re-opened today (Friday 12 December).

Castle Cinema, who currently operate a successful independent community-driven cinema in Hackney, are the new team running the Sidcup cinema and café. They are very excited to welcome Bexley residents to the new site, which will be known as Castle Sidcup.

December will be a soft-launch month, while the new team settle in and make everything feel just right. The opening hours for the period 12 to 31 December are:

• Saturdays: 9.30am to 9pm
• All other days: 1pm to 9pm

Please note that closures are planned on 18 and 25 December 2025, and 1 January 2026.

From 2 January, Castle Sidcup will be open every day 9.30am to 11pm.

In January, the new team will be giving the bar area a refresh. The aim is to make the space warmer, cosier and more welcoming.
