Team Bexley brings home the medals at London Youth Games

Bexley's Boccia team with Bexley's Mayor, Cllr Christine Catterall

Team Bexley has done it again - bringing pride to the borough with a silver medal win in Boccia at the London Youth Games Finals Festival, held at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park over the first weekend of July.

The event saw young athletes from across London compete in a celebration of sport, teamwork, and determination. Bexley’s athletes stood out not only for their skill but also for their incredible sportsmanship and dedication.

We’re also proud to celebrate the achievements of our boys’ and girls’ hockey teams, boys’ table tennis team, and tennis team, who all took part in the finals - a fantastic accomplishment that reflects their hard work and talent.

The Finals Festival was the culmination of the 2025 season, which in the lead up saw Bexley take part in Cross Country, Cricket, Basketball, Judo, Road Cycling, Kayaking, BMX, Football, Swimming and Badminton.

A huge thank you goes to the coaches, schools, families, and local clubs who supported our teams throughout their journey. Your encouragement and commitment are the foundation of Team Bexley’s success.

Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Christine Catterall, said:

Team Bexley’s performance at the London Youth Games Finals was nothing short of inspiring. These young athletes are fantastic ambassadors for our borough - showing what can be achieved with passion, perseverance, and community support. Their success is a reminder of the power of sport to bring people together and build confidence in our young people.”
