School Superzones

School superzones

We are setting up a number of ‘Superzones’ in Bexley which aim to create healthier and safer places for children and young people to live, learn and play.

What is a School Superzone?

Working with schools and the wider school community including families, parents, and children - School Superzones are areas around schools within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance, helping children to play safely, breathe clean air, be active, enjoy a healthy diet and thrive.

Within each zone we will be working with schools, communities and families to create healthy environments with a focus on:

  • air quality
  • tobacco control
  • food and drink
  • active travel
