All young people go through a series of stages when they move on from being a teenager to becoming an adult. This can be an exciting time, with new opportunities, choices and independence, but it can also be a difficult and uncertain time for many.  

This is especially the case for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), who often need more careful support and planning to help them through this stage in their lives. 

At Bexley, we want to ensure that all young people with SEND can reach their potential in adult life. We offer a range of support to help make this possible for those aged between 14 and 25, which forms part of what is called our “Local Offer” for all SEND children and young people.
